A Symbol of Friendship between Kalimantan and Bali Through Public Lectures at Mulawarman University and Udayana University
On Tuesday at 29 October 2024, the Cultural Anthropology Study Program of the Faculty of Humanities Udayana University has held a public lecture collaboration with the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mulawarman University. The event was held at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra campus of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Denpasar. The event moderated by Cultural Anthropology lecturer, Taufik Agus Purnomo, S.Pd., M.A. took the theme ‘Balinese and East Kalimantan Culture’ delivered by Aliffiati, S.S., M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Aloysius Hardoko, M.Pd.
The Public Lecture ‘Balinese Culture’ was delivered by Aliffiati, S.S., M.Si. who is also the Coordinator of Anthropology Study Programme. She presented Balinese Culture in the frame of seven elements of universal culture. Meanwhile, East Kalimantan Culture was presented by Prof. Dr. Aloysius Hardoko, M.Pd. with a historical perspective of cultural development and the current cultural context. These two presentations are interesting because in Bali and East Kalimantan there are similarities in local wisdom related to the balance of the relationship between God, humans, and nature.
