Anthropology Study Program Initiates Cooperation Between the Bali Fashion and Craft Industry Development Center and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University
Denpasar December 17, 2025 – The Cultural Anthropology Study Program at Udayana University's Faculty of Humanities is teaming up with the Fashion and Craft Industry Empowerment Center, also known as the Bali Creative Industry Center (BPIFK/BCIC). This partnership is all about following the "Three Pillars of Higher Education," especially in the area of education. The goal is to create more internship opportunities for students. During this first meeting, both parties discussed the form of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between FIB Unud and BPIFK.
Although it was only established in 2024, this work unit under the Ministry of Industry (Kemenprin) is already at the level of fostering Small and Medium Industries (IKM), rather than growing new industries. Fostering is carried out through business incubation so that business actors can accelerate their businesses to grow and compete in local and international markets. Diki Sulistio Apriliyanto, S.E., Kiki, Giska, and Fauziah were there for BPIFK. Meanwhile Deputy Dean I I Gede Uwinate, the Information and Cooperation Unit of FIB, Gung Aryani, the Head of the Cultural Anthropology Program Aliffiati, and several other lecturers from the Cultural Anthropology Program represented FIB Unud.
Gung Aryani the Head of the Information and Cooperation Unit at FIB Unud, said that the faculty and university have specific goals to meet. One of these goals is to find partners who can offer student internships. However Unud is selective about the proposals it accepts for cooperation. First it must have to meet the technical requirements. This means submitting a cooperation proposal to Unud and copying the intended faculty. The proposal should also explain the specific benefits that Unud will receive until the final stage, which is the evaluation that Unud will conduct. In this evaluation Unud will look at who is involved, the form of the activity, and the appropriate PKS format. Apart from the PKS form, cooperation can also be described through an Implementation Arrangement (IA) or Implementation Agreement. The PKS is valid for one year and can be extended if both parties agree, while the IA is usually valid for one semester. This discussion also explored other ways to work together, like having practitioner lectures. This partnership is expected to be good for both parties. (Ria)
