COMMUNICATING NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS DAY, CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY OF UDAYANA UNIVERSITY CONDUCT SERVICES IN MANGROVE FORESTS
Cultural Anthropology Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University carried out a service in the form of cleaning the mangrove forest area and planting mangrove seedlings on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. This event was held in commemoration of National Disaster Preparedness Day.
The
service was held in the Ngurah Rai Tahura Environment, Pudut Island, Tanjung Benoa.
In its implementation, the Cultural Anthropology Study Program was invited by
the Badung District Disaster Risk Reduction Forum.
The
event was attended by the Coordinator of Cultural Anthropology Study Program,
Aliffiati, S.S., M.Si., members of the Badung Regency Disaster Risk Reduction
Forum, Sahabat Teluk Benoa Community, Indonesia Tourism Development
Corporation, students of SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Benoa, SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Benoa,
SMP Negeri 3 Kuta Selatan, as well as college students of Cultural Anthropology
Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University.
The event began with
cleaning the mangrove forest area and continued with planting mangrove
seedlings. In addition, an earthquake disaster simulation was also carried out
with the sound of sirens and kulkul (Balinese traditional of communication).
