Cultural Anthropology Study Program Holds Research Design Workshop Ahead of PPPM 2024
The
Cultural Anthropology Study Program organized a workshop to help PPPM 2024
participants design research proposals. Dr. Ida Bagus Gde Pujaastawa, M.A., was
the resource person for the event, which took place on Wednesday in the Prijono
Room of the Poerbatjaraka Building at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences in
Denpasar, (7/2/2024).
Unlike
previous years, this year's PPPM activity involved two universities and two
different study programs. It was also attended by students from SMAN 1
Kintamani. The event had a total of 146 participants, including 129
anthropology study program students from the classes of 2020, 2021, 2022, and
2023. Additionally, there were participants from outside the Anthropology study
program. The Udayana archeology program has five students, Halu Oleo University
has one anthropology student, SMAN 1 Kintaman has seven students, and there are
five companions.
During
the workshop, Dr. Ida Bagus Gde Pujaastawa, M.A., explained how to design a
socio-cultural research proposal. He covered issues, topics, titles,
backgrounds, problem formulation, and research methods. His information helped
participants focus when they later went out into the field to Selulung village.
This information is also useful for students submitting a thesis proposal. The
proposal guidelines meet the standard guidelines of the Cultural Anthropology
Study Program. Dr. Puja emphasized the importance of researchers asking
questions and learning while at the research location to obtain more thorough
and detailed results.
At
the end of the workshop, the committee divided the 146 participants into 17
groups. These groups were then distributed to 17 hamlets in Selulung village,
each with a predetermined theme. This
approach ensures that the data obtained is diverse and can be used by all
residents of Selulung village. The first Pre PPPM 2024 workshop event ended in
the afternoon. The participants were enthusiastic, and several received
chocolate prizes from the committee (nhw).
