Cultural Anthropology Study Program Meeting at Udayana University Welcoming the 2025/2026 Academic Year

To welcome the 2025/2026 academic year, the Cultural Anthropology Study Program at Udayana University (Unud) held its regular early semester meeting. The meeting took place in the Social Anthropology Classroom on the third floor of the Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Bagus Building in the Faculty of Cultural Sciences in Denpasar on September 1, 2025. The Head of the Cultural Anthropology Program and all program faculty members attended this routine activity. The meeting's main agenda was to finalize preparations for lectures and activities that support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education for the upcoming semester.

The relaxed meeting, which had a family atmosphere, began with the introduction of two new lecturers who will bolster the teaching staff. Their addition marks a positive development for the program, which now has a total of twelve permanent lecturers. The solidified teaching staff is expected to improve the quality of education and the intensity of student guidance. The meeting also covered the number of new students who will enroll in the 2025 academic year. Forty-one prospective anthropologists have been accepted and will begin their academic journey in the program. This number is important for determining class capacity, scheduling, and lecturer teaching loads, all of which are necessary for ensuring an optimal learning experience.

Further discussions focused on developing and finalizing the lecture schedule, as well as designing strategies to implement the three main pillars of higher education: teaching, research, and community service. The lecturers discussed ways to ensure that the implemented curriculum meets academic standards and is relevant to current times and societal needs.
