Improving Quality and Maintaining Cohesion at Semester Meetings of the Cultural Anthropology Program
In order to maintain the quality
of the program and to improve the cooperation between the lecturers, the
anthropology program regularly holds program meetings before the start of the
new semester. This time, the program meeting was held on January 26, 2024. The
characteristic of the Cultural Anthropology Study Program meetings is that they
are always held with the enthusiasm of the members, all of whom are
anthropology lecturers at Home Base. One of the factors that gave rise to a
sense of kinship among the lecturers was that the meeting was chaired by
Aliffiati, S.S., M.Si. as Coordinator of the Cultural Anthropology Study
Program.
This meeting raised a number of
important agendas that will be the focus of the study program activities to be
implemented in 2024. These agendas include the distribution of courses for the
Even Semester 2023/2024, which will begin on March 1, 2024. Then there are
preparations for Social Anthropology 2024 activities involving exchange
students from Norway. In addition to reporting the results of research and
community service in 2023, along with plans for similar activities to be
carried out in 2024.
In addition, the meeting also
discussed the importance of updating the content of the study program guides to
adapt to changes and challenges in the ever evolving market. There will also be
a discussion on the development of routine study program events, such as PPPM
(Community Service Research Training), which will be held in February 2024.
Including preparations for the Cultural Anthropology Study Program at Udayana
University to host the Adjasi event in 2024.
By holding these routine faculty
meetings, the Anthropology Program emphasizes the importance of coordinating,
communicating, and preparing for educational programs. It is hoped that the
decisions made at the meeting will have a positive impact on the student
learning experience and the overall quality of the program. Thus, program
meetings are not only a forum for discussion, but also a forum for faculty to
collaborate and formulate strategic steps. All this is aimed at improving the
quality of education and services for students of Cultural Anthropology at
Udayana University. (drd).
