The Community Service Division, Cultural Anthropology Student Council, Udayana University. The activity focused on the theme of creating a happy and healthy atmosphere in old age. This activity is designed to bring happiness and cheer to the residents of the orphanage who have aged. It also aims to show a sense of care, empathy, and happiness to the elderly who need more attention. The event was also attended by volunteers who were really enthusiastic.
The event started at 09:00 WITA with a warm welcome from the Committee Chairperson, who gave an activity report and explained why this activity is important. After that the Krama chairman and the person in charge of the orphanage made some remarks. Furthermore, the elderly were invited to take part in various activities that are good for their health, such as gymnastics and entertainment activities like singing. These activities were designed to create a happy and healthy atmosphere and help eliminate any feelings of loneliness. One of the most touching moments was when some of the residents shared their life stories. It was really inspiring for the volunteers and organizers. On top of that, the elderly were given gifts to help strengthen the bond between Krama and Panti Sosial.
The event wrapped up with a message from the elderly, the orphanage director, and Krama. Then, certificates and plaques were handed out as a sign of cooperation. The prayer marked the end of the Krama Berbagi Dan Mengabdi 2024 event. Everything went really well, and the residents of the nursing home were really happy about it. The elderly feel cared for and happy about this visit. Krama members, organizers, and volunteers all agreed that this activity was a great way to build empathy and awareness of the importance of caring for and respecting the elderly. The idea is that Krama Berbagi Dan Mengabdi activities will benefit not just the elderly, but also the volunteers and organizers who take part. These minutes are here to document what we did during the Krama Berbagi dan Mengabdi activities. It would be great if this activity could continue and provide long-lasting benefits for the elderly. Hopefully, it will also inspire the wider community to get involved in social activities that have a positive impact. (Angel)
