LIA II 2021: Revitalizing the Spice Culture of Rural Communities in the Archipelago
Anthropology Study Program and Anthropology Students, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University held the Anthropology Scientific Contest (LIA) for the second time. This national-scale activity consists of three series of activities, namely: workshops, competitions, and seminars on results. All of these activities are the realization of the collaboration between Anthropology Udayana University and the Bali Province Cultural Values Preservation Center (BPNB Bali Province), the Indonesian Anthropology Kinship Network (JKAI), the Association of Indonesian Anthropology Departments/Departments (ADJASI), and the Indonesian Anthropology Association (AAI).
This 2021 LIA activity began by holding a workshop on writing scientific articles on 16 October 2021 which presented three resource persons, namely Mohamad Atqa (Director General of Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, Technology and Higher Education), Drs. Erwin SQ Haripramono (Cultural Observer, Anthropology Alumni), and Slamat Trisila, M.Sc. (Editor and Publisher of Pustaka Larasan). The activity, which was held online via Zoom Meeting was attended by 120 participants from various universities in Indonesia. This national-scale activity was then continued with a scientific article competition which was held from 17 October - 3 November 2021, judging on 5 - 10 November 2021, and the announcement of the winners on 11 November 2021. The competition carried the theme "Revitalizing the Spice Culture of Rural Communities in the Archipelago" with a total prize of IDR 5.200.000, where the competition was participated by anthropology students and social and cultural science groups throughout Indonesia and won by three winners, namely:
1st Winner of Haganta Gift (Anthropology Indonesia University) Score 8.60
2rd Agghina Haifa Aliyah (Japanese Literature Udayana University) Score 8.40
3rd Nafisatul Laeli (Anthropology Airlangga University) Score 8,16
The winners then became resource persons in the last series of LIA activities, namely the Results Seminar on 17 November 2021, which was attended by 112 participants. Karunia Haganta presented a material entitled “Spice Culture Without Soil: Agrarian Reform to Realize a Spice Culture”, then Agghina Haifa Aliyah presented a material entitled “Coverage and Sustainable Neighborhood as a Concept of Revitalizing Spice Culture in Rural Communities”, and Nafisatul Laeli presented a material entitled “The Meaning and Revitalization of Wedang Uwuh: Spice 'Rubbish Drink', Rich in Luck”.
