SDN 1 Kusamba in the Krama Mengajar Program
On Saturday morning October 19 2024, the first series of Krama Mengajar activities put together by the Community Service Division and the Cultural Anthropology Student Association got underway. This time Krama Teaching teamed up with Kemas (History Student Family) Udayana University, which took place at SDN 1 Kusamba, Klungkung Regency. This year Krama Mengajar 2024 is all about "Building Character to Create a Quality Learning Atmosphere." The goal is to provide character learning and knowledge exchange between students in elementary schools.
The event began at 07.30 WITA and lasted until noon, starting of course with prayers with the students. The participants, including students, teachers and volunteers, joined in the prayers to ask for the smooth running and blessing of the teaching activities to be carried out. The prayer was followed by classroom teaching by volunteers and games from Kemas. The material presented is non-formal education, which includes how to build character as early as possible so that it can fit in and become a positive influence in the social environment. According to the volunteers, the lessons and games were well received by the children. "For the first time, I feel very happy because the children are very active," said one of the volunteers from Krama Mengajar. In addition to the committee and volunteers, lecturers from the Cultural Anthropology study programme at Udayana University also helped to run the activity.
The support in the form of stationery made the children very excited and happy. At the end of the event, a group photo was taken and the volunteers said goodbye to the children. Many exchanged phone numbers and even social media accounts. With the end of this first series of Krama Mengajar activities, it is a good start for the next series of Krama Mengajar activities.
