SIMAKRAMA 2.0: "Anthropology Study Career Development"
Simakrama is one of the work programmes of the public
relations division of the Udayana University Anthropology Student Association
in the form of a seminar or sharing session. Simakrama was conducted via Zoom
on Saturday 9 September 2023 at 10.00-13.00 WITA. This Simakrama took the theme
of "Career Development for Anthropology Studies".
Therefore, this activity has a purpose as a forum for
discussion or sharing with alumni of Anthropology graduates who have worked and
are willing to tell and share their experiences as anthropology graduates with
Anthropology students who have just joined and old students. Thus, this
Simakrama is expected to provide a little view for Anthropology students about
the career they will take. The number of participants who have registered is 82
participants consisting of the 2020-2023 batch.
The Simakrama speakers came from the class of 2001 on
behalf of Jauhar Mubarok and Zaith Hatta from the class of 2014. Both speakers
presented material about their careers and experiences as graduates of Cultural
Anthropology students. Our first speakers were Mr Zaith Hatta with the title
"Social Movement Career" and Mr Jauhar with the title "Sharing
Career Stories of Anthropology Graduates". Not only that, the head of the
Cultural Anthropology study programme of Udayana University also participated
to give a speech and insight into his career in anthropology. In fact, he also
actively asked questions to our two speakers.
Simakrama this time went like a seminar in general, but
the difference was the knowledge provided by our first speaker regarding the
use of social media and technology using slido links. Our second speaker was no
less interesting, he used his experience as an alumni who had experienced
college while working. The participants were no less enthusiastic, many of them
actively asked questions and discussed with the speakers.
When the Simakrama activity was over, both of our
speakers had impressions and messages to us as the committee and Anthropology
students. "Aman, if there are other sessions let me now, if the time is
right, I support" said kak Zaith as the first speaker. "I also thank
you for being given the opportunity to share your story. Hopefully it will be
useful. Success for friends. Always be healthy" said Pak Jauhar as the
second speaker.
Thus this Simakrama activity has ended with enthusiastic
participants and speakers who were able to bring the participants to
participate in the discussion in this Simakrama.
