Professor of Anthropology from Hasanuddin

Sciences, Udayana University (FIB Unud) on Thursday 16 November 2023. He was
present to be a speaker in the activity "Focused Discussion on Preparation
of Forms Towards Superior Accreditation". The event was attended by a
number of lecturers and staff from the Cultural Anthropology Study Program,
History Science Study Program, Archeology Study Program, Master of Cultural
Studies, and the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M) FIB
Unud. The discussion activity which took place from 13.00 to 16.00 WITA in the
Professor's Room was aimed at discussing the strategic steps that need to be
taken to achieve accreditation with superior predicates for several study
programs represented at the meeting. Prof. Dr. Pawennari Hijang, M.A. who is
also an assessor for the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education
(BAN-PT), emphasized the importance of focusing on developing undergraduate
study programs as the main foundation of a faculty. One of the statements made
by the speaker who is familiarly called Prof. Awe is, "Institutions
must focus on developing undergraduate study programs because they are the main
foundation of a faculty."
The importance of superior accreditation is
not just a certificate or award, but a nationally recognized indicator of
educational quality. In this era of globalization, superior accreditation is a
significant competitive advantage for educational institutions. Institutions
that achieve higher accreditation have advantages in attracting prospective
students and creating a quality academic environment. In addition, superior
accreditation enhances the image and reputation of the institution in the eyes
of the community and industry, proves commitment to superior, independent and
cultured higher education standards in accordance with the Vision of Udayana
University.
Superior accreditation benefits not only
the institution, but also the students. Students at institutions with higher
accreditation can be confident that they are receiving a quality education that
is relevant to the demands of the job market. Higher accreditation also opens
up opportunities for students to access various scholarship programs and
collaborations with leading institutions or companies. Thus, efforts to achieve
higher accreditation are not only a strategic step for universities, but also a
long-term investment in producing competent human resources ready to compete on
a global scale.
This discussion will be an interactive
forum between resource persons and participants where ideas and experiences
will be shared to improve the quality of education in the Faculty of Humanities
Unud environment. With the presence of faculty from different programs, it is
hoped that the exchange of views and ideas can positively contribute to the
preparation of quality Conversion Supplement Instrument. The Cultural
Anthropology Program Coordinator expressed his appreciation for the
participation of all parties involved in this activity. It is hoped that the
results of this discussion can become a strong foundation for Faculty of
Humanities Unud to achieve higher accreditation, which is a prestige.
